So Paganini was the bait, but what hooked me about this book was just how accessible the science was. Fully enjoyable, well-researched and surprisingly fun - this book gave me really strange DNA dreams and made me feel a little bit like a smart person. While perhaps not as grandiose as the story of life itself, this detective story is significant in its own right, for it has transformed how we understand all that lives--including ourselves. Hovorkathis would have been a perfect book. Published 2 months ago by D. There are genes to explain crazy cat ladies, why other people have no fingerprints, and why some people survive nuclear bombs.
